This quaint studio cottage is the perfect getaway for couples looking to escape to their own romantic nest by the water.

Wake up to birds singing and walk straight onto the deck to enjoy the serenity of the Brisbane Waters, with coffee shops just a short stroll away and Killcare Beach over the hill.

With an outlook stretching all the way out towards the Rip Bridge, sunsets are the ideal time to enjoy this peaceful environment. Pour the glass of wine, collapse on the day bed and take a load off – you have arrived in paradise.

Please note: Only two guests allowed, must be over 25 to book, with NO children allowed.

Please also note that there is steep access to the property, up stairs and a grassy bank leading to the Cottage.

Access to the bathroom is just outside the front door (all under cover).

Please note that the Cottage is not recommended for the less mobile, due to the steep access.

Delight your cultural fancies with exquisite art galleries, boutique shopping and fine dining along the main shopping strip. You can also enjoy a five-star experience at the famed Bells at Killcare, one of the coast’s premier boutique hotels. Wander along sandstone cliffs and coastal heaths while taking in the outstanding beauty of the Bouddi Coastal Walk. Those looking to relax with the sand between their toes can unwind at popular Putty Beach or Little Beach.


Other things to note: 

NO MORE THAN 2 GUESTS (2 adults are permitted to stay at Araluen Deck  House unless agreed to in advance by the owners. Guests MUST NOT byo any additional mattresses or bedding. All guests must be declared at the time of bookings and any extra guests will be asked to leave the property and/or will forfeit their deposit bond.

No parties or events: As we are situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, we ask that you please be respectful of our neighbours and ensure that there is no outdoor noise after 10pm, we request no music or outdoor entertaining after this time. Sound travels easily to our immediate neighbours and as such, please be aware of noise levels at all times of the day. Should there be ongoing noise disruption and our security company is called to the property and they deem the noise levels from the street disruptive to the neighbourhood, this will result in a bond deduction of $120.


LINEN, TOWELS AND CLEANING services provided at guest’s expense. Beach towels are not provided. 

SECURITY BOND (Refundable Deposit) of $500.00 is required for each stay and is in addition to the booking charge. The guest is liable for the full cost of any breakages, missing items or damage caused to or within the property during their stay, even if it exceeds the bond amount.

SMOKING on the property both indoors and within the grounds is strictly prohibited. Any residual odours or evidence of smoking will incur an additional cleaning fee of $500.  Please restrict smoking to a distance from the property and dispose of any cigarette buts appropriately away from the property.
